This is the first review I have ever written so bare with me. I have read many BDSM books. Some were great and others OK. This one does not even make it on the OK list. There is no plot, not even good sex scenes. I kept thinking it had to get better as I read but it was so much of a turn off I could not finish reading it. Just the thought of it makes me cringe. I hate saying this about any author's books but I rely on reviews when choosing a book and just wanted to give a heads up to anyone thinking of reading this book. Don't!Product details

My husband and I are always looking for intense fantasy to add to our own creations. While this book was much more about the sex life of the protagonist than following any plot, it still didn't disappoint. It reads like a collection of adult-movie scenes strung together, but even given that, they are excellent. Just enough of a back-story for each character for you to understand the blackmail motive and reasoning for me as a woman, and enough hot action to satisfy my husband. Will be picking up other books. Any chance there will be a followup to this one?
I usually enjoy books containing sex but if you get a book that has no introduction, no character development, no story to tell except a bunch of sexual escapades strung together things get monotonous in a hurry. Everything about this book is flat and two dimensional. Might be of interest to youth but not to most adults.
I purchased this book because of the promise of some steamy blackmail scenarios and it definitely delivered. There isn't really a plot but the action makes up for it in scene after scene. The humiliation and degradation theme runs through the whole work which was definitely more than just a short work. I found myself having to take frequent breaks from the intensity of the action involved as the main character influenced his 'prey'.
Though the premise that the victims of his abuse end up enjoying their torment is somewhat unbelievable, it struck a chord in me. All in all, Blackmailer is a good read if you're looking for something hot, steamy and descriptive; covering most of the taboos I anticipated while reading it.
